The Honduras Yellow-shouldered Bat is a medium-sized phyllostomid bat of tropical forests in Central America and Mexico, named for the yellowish-orange shoulder patches in males produced by scent glands. It is an important disperser of Solanum and Piper seeds in tropical forest understory. Recently recognized as a distinct species through genetic analysis.
