Salmonberry is a native shrub of Pacific Northwest forests and stream corridors that produces large salmon-to-red berries in summer. It forms dense thickets in moist habitats and provides important early-season nectar from its showy pink flowers. Bears, foxes, and many bird species eagerly consume the berries.
