The Aztec Thrush is a Mexican mountain species that very rarely wanders into the mountains of southeastern Arizona. The male has a striking black-and-white pattern with a dark hood and white wing patches, giving it an almost magpie-like appearance. It forages for berries in pine-oak forests.
