The Yellow-faced Bee is a small, slender, virtually hairless bee with distinctive yellow facial markings. Unlike most bees it has no pollen-carrying structures on its body, instead swallowing pollen and nectar and regurgitating them at the nest. It nests in hollow stems and wood cavities. It is the most wasp-like in appearance of all North American bees.
