The Oblong-winged Katydid is a round-winged katydid with a soft, lispy song described as 'zip-zip-zip' and comes in not only green but rare pink and yellow color morphs. The pink morph is genuine and thought to result from a genetic variation in the pigment pathway. It inhabits forest edges and brushy areas where it feeds on foliage at night.
