The Olive Hairstreak is a brilliant moss-green hairstreak with white-edged spots and red-orange eyespots near the tiny tails. Its vivid green underside provides astonishing camouflage on cedar foliage. It is strictly tied to red cedar and other Juniperus species. Adults spend most of their time in the canopy and are hard to spot when at rest.

Larvae: red cedar and other junipers. Adults: nectar and moisture
