The Blue-headed Vireo is a handsome vireo with a blue-gray head, bold white spectacles, and yellow-green sides. It is typically the first vireo to arrive in spring in the East, tolerating colder temperatures than its relatives. Its song is slower and more deliberate than the Red-eyed Vireo's.
