The Yellow-throated Vireo is the most colorful vireo in North America, with a bright yellow throat, breast, and bold yellow spectacles set against a gray head and white wing bars. It inhabits tall deciduous forest canopies and is easier to hear than to see. Its slow, burry song has a distinctive two- or three-note quality that sounds husky compared to other vireos.
