Foamflower is a native wildflower of rich, moist eastern forests named for its frothy, foam-like clusters of white flowers in spring. It spreads by stolons to form extensive colonies and is one of the most common ground covers in rich Appalachian cove forests. Native bees and bumblebees are important pollinators.
