Bewick's Wren is a lively, long-tailed wren of western shrublands and forest edges with a bold white supercilium and white-edged tail it flicks and fans sideways. Male song repertoires consist of multiple distinct song types learned from neighbors. It has declined significantly in the East, where its range has contracted due to competition with House Wrens.
