Quaking Aspen is the most widely distributed tree in North America, known for leaves that tremble in the slightest breeze due to their flattened leaf stalks. Clonal aspen groves are genetically identical organisms connected by root systems, with Pando in Utah estimated to be the largest living organism on Earth at 6,000 tons. Fall color is spectacular golden-yellow.
