Burmeister's Porpoise is a South American porpoise occasionally recorded in extreme southern North American (Panama) marine waters at the boundary of its range. It has a uniquely shaped dorsal fin with tubercles along its leading edge and is one of the least-known cetaceans in the Americas. It is listed as Endangered due to bycatch mortality in fisheries.
