Large-flowered Penstemon is a showy native wildflower of the central plains with large, pale lavender tubular flowers that are among the biggest of any penstemon. It grows in dry prairie remnants and rocky glades and has declined significantly with prairie loss. Native Anthophora bees and hummingbirds are its primary pollinators.
