Lewis's Monkeyflower is one of the showiest wildflowers of mountain stream banks, producing brilliant deep pink to magenta flowers along cold, clear mountain streams from Alaska to New Mexico. Named for Meriwether Lewis, it blooms in summer and is visited by bumblebees and hummingbirds. It grows in dense patches that can brighten entire streamside meadows.
