The Common Spreadwing is a metallic green spreadwing damselfly found at a variety of still-water habitats across North America. Like all spreadwings it rests with wings partly spread, unlike the closed-wing posture of most damselflies. It is tolerant of a range of water quality conditions and can be found from bogs to suburban ponds.
