The Convergent Lady Beetle is the most familiar native ladybug in western North America, with up to 13 black spots on orange-red elytra and two converging white marks on its black pronotum. It is famed for mass overwintering aggregations in mountain canyons, with millions clustering on rocks and vegetation. It is an important predator of aphids in gardens and agriculture.
