The Cassius Blue is a small butterfly of southern Florida and the Gulf Coast with pale blue-and-white striped wings below and powder blue above in males. It is abundant in gardens where lead plant and plumbago grow. Two dark eyespots near its hindwing tail mimic the head, deterring predators with a false target.

Gardens, disturbed areas, and coastal scrub in the South
Diet
Larvae: plumbago and other legumes. Adults: nectar
