Rafinesque's Big-eared Bat is a large-eared bat of the southeastern United States that roosts in abandoned buildings, hollow trees, and rock crevices. It has conspicuously large lumpy glands on either side of its nose, and the toes of its large hind feet are fringed with long hairs. This species was first described by the eccentric naturalist Constantine Samuel Rafinesque in the early 19th century.
