The Outis Skipper is a small, dark brown spread-wing skipper of the desert Southwest with white spots on the forewing and a distinctive pattern of white veins on the hindwing below. It is associated with acacia and mimosa shrubs in riparian canyons. The caterpillar lives in a leaf roll of its host plant. Adults are alert and perch with wings flat.
