The Silver-bordered Fritillary is a small, bright orange fritillary with a diagnostic row of bold silver-white spots along the margin of the hindwing underside. It inhabits wet meadows and bogs where violets grow. It is a Holarctic species found across northern North America, Europe, and Asia. Multiple broods can occur in the South of its range.
