Safety note: Dangerous — observe from a safe distance.

The Western Canada Moose is a medium-large subspecies occupying the boreal forests of central Canada and the Great Lakes states. Bulls can weigh 1,200 to 1,400 pounds and carry broad, palmated antlers spanning 5 feet or more. Winter brain worm infestations transmitted by white-tailed deer have caused significant moose declines in parts of the Great Lakes region as deer expand northward with warming winters.
