Pacific Silver Fir is a stately conifer of Pacific Northwest mountain forests, found at middle to upper elevations where it is sometimes the dominant species. Its silver-white undersides of the flat needles give it the 'silver' in its name. It provides important nesting and foraging habitat for species like the spotted owl and many mountain birds.
