The Arctic Fox is superbly adapted to polar environments, with the warmest fur of any mammal relative to its body temperature range, able to withstand temperatures as low as -58°F. It has two color morphs: white in winter for snow camouflage and blue-gray in summer on rocky terrain. Arctic foxes follow polar bears across sea ice to scavenge seal carcasses during winter.
