Thinleaf Huckleberry produces large, sweet, dark-purple to black berries that are among the finest wild fruits in North America. It is a major food source for grizzly and black bears across the Rocky Mountains and Cascades, with bears consuming tens of thousands of berries per day in peak berry years.
