The Pine Warbler is one of the few warblers that winters in the continental United States, sustained by its ability to eat seeds and berries when insects are scarce — it commonly visits feeders for suet and millet. It is closely associated with pines and rarely strays far from pine forests year-round. Males are yellow with streaked breasts; females are much drabber brown.
