Safety note: May carry rabies — do not approach or handle.

Davy's Naked-backed Bat is a mormoopid bat of the Caribbean and Central American coasts whose wing membranes attach along its back midline, giving it the appearance of a bare-backed bat when folded. It roosts in large, hot caves and mine tunnels, often alongside free-tailed bats. The naked-backed appearance is an adaptation to the dense, large-colony roosting sites it uses.
