Smooth Solomon's Seal is an elegant wildflower with arching stems bearing alternate oval leaves, beneath which hang pairs of small white tubular flowers. By late summer, these develop into dark blue berries consumed by many forest birds. The plant spreads by underground rhizomes to form graceful colonies in moist, shaded forests.
