Jacob's Ladder is a beautiful wildflower of cool, moist forests and subalpine meadows with pinnately compound leaves that inspired the common name and clusters of blue-to-violet funnel-shaped flowers. It grows in both eastern and western North America and is visited by bumblebees, hummingbirds, and many native bees.
