Obedient Plant is a native wildflower of moist prairies and stream banks that is named for the unusual property of its tubular pink flowers: when the blossoms are pushed sideways, they stay in place as if on a hinge. It spreads aggressively by underground stolons and forms large colonies. Bumblebees and hummingbirds are the primary pollinators.
