The Guatemalan Deer Mouse is a large-bodied, long-tailed Peromyscus of high cloud forests in Guatemala and adjacent southern Mexico. Its large feet and long tail suggest adaptation to climbing in complex montane forest environments. It represents the southernmost radiation of the Peromyscus genus.
