The Wandering Glider is arguably the world's most migratory insect, completing transoceanic movements between India and Africa that span thousands of miles. Its broad hindwings allow it to glide effortlessly on high-altitude winds. It breeds in temporary pools that form after rain and can appear anywhere in North America during migration season. Its golden-yellow body makes it one of the more easily identified gliders.
