The Small Mocis Moth is a medium-sized, tan-and-brown noctuid with a wave-patterned forewing and a subtle iridescent shimmer in fresh specimens. Its caterpillar is a grass feeder associated with Bahia grass and other lawn grasses in the Southeast. It can become a minor pest of turfgrasses. Adults fly in multiple generations in the South.
