The Olympic Marmot is found only on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, one of the most limited ranges of any North American marmot. It has a tawny-brown coat that blends with the golden summer meadows of Olympic National Park. Olympic marmots are unusually social, with family groups engaging in frequent greeting and play behavior.
