Bigleaf Lupine is a tall, showy native wildflower of Pacific Northwest meadows and roadsides, producing magnificent spikes of blue-to-purple flowers in May and June. It is a nitrogen-fixer that colonizes disturbed areas and enriches soils. Native bumblebees are important pollinators, and its seeds feed many small mammals and birds.
