Silvery Lupine is a widespread native lupine of dry prairies and mountain slopes across western North America, with silvery-hairy leaves and dense spikes of blue-to-violet flowers. It is a nitrogen-fixer and pioneer on disturbed and dry sites. Bumblebees are the primary pollinators, and the seeds are eaten by small mammals and birds.
