The Rosy Rustic is a medium-sized noctuid moth with warm pinkish-tan wings bearing subtle brown markings. Its caterpillar is an internal stem borer of many marsh and garden plants including potato, hop, and iris. It was introduced from Europe and is now widespread in North America wherever its host plants grow. Adults fly in late summer and fall.
