The Brown Marmorated Stink Bug is an invasive pest from Asia that has spread rapidly across North America since the 1990s, becoming a serious agricultural pest of fruit and vegetable crops. In fall, adults invade homes by the thousands to overwinter, releasing a pungent cilantro-like odor when disturbed. Its brown, marbled shield-shaped body makes it distinctive.
