Carolina Cranesbill is a small native annual or biennial wildflower of dry, disturbed habitats across North America with deeply cut leaves and small pink flowers. The distinctive pointed, crane-bill shaped seed capsules eject seeds explosively when ripe. It provides seeds for many small ground-feeding birds and is a host plant for specialist geranium bees.
