The Greater Grison is a fierce, stocky mustelid of tropical and subtropical forests with a striking bicolored pattern—pale silver-gray above and jet black below. It hunts rodents, snakes, lizards, and birds in dense forest and has a reputation for aggressive fearlessness. Grisons reach southern Mexico at the northern limit of their range.
