Common Boneset is a tall native wildflower of wet meadows and stream banks whose distinctive feature is leaves that appear to pierce through the stem. The flat-topped white flower clusters in late summer attract an extraordinary variety of insects, including many specialist bees, wasps, flies, and butterflies. It was widely used medicinally by indigenous peoples for fevers.
