Round-leaved Sundew is a carnivorous bog plant that captures insects on sticky glandular hairs covering its round, red-flushed leaves. It obtains nitrogen from digested insects in the nutrient-poor sphagnum bogs it inhabits. It is one of the most widespread carnivorous plants in the world, circumpolar in distribution across boreal zones.
