The Gold-eyed Lacewing is a delicate, pale green insect with bright metallic golden eyes and gossamer wings veined in green. It is an important natural enemy of aphids — both adults and larvae consume large numbers of soft-bodied pests. Eggs are laid on silken stalks to protect them from cannibalism by hatching larvae. It is attracted to lights at night.
