Golden Canna is the only native canna in North America, growing in shallow wetlands and pond margins of the southeastern Coastal Plain from South Carolina to Florida. It produces large, showy yellow flowers that are strikingly beautiful and attractive to ruby-throated hummingbirds. Growing 3–5 feet tall, it spreads by rhizomes to form colonies in suitable wet habitats.
