The Oak Titmouse is a plain, gray titmouse of California's oak woodlands, the only titmouse found west of the Sierra Nevada. It was recently split from the Juniper Titmouse, found in the Great Basin. Despite its unremarkable appearance, it is a capable and year-round resident, caching seeds in bark crevices throughout autumn.
