The Sagebrush Sparrow is a slender, long-tailed sparrow of the Great Basin sagebrush steppe — one of the most iconic birds of this threatened habitat. It runs along the ground with its tail cocked and pumped. The single dark spot in the center of the white breast is distinctive. It was split from the Bell's Sparrow in 2013.
