Anise Hyssop is a native wildflower of prairie edges and open woods in the northern plains with licorice-scented leaves and long spikes of lavender-blue flowers beloved by pollinators. It is one of the most valuable native plants for bees, attracting enormous numbers of bumblebees, honeybees, and native solitary bees. Goldfinches eat the seeds in fall.
