The Cuban Fig-eating Bat is a small fruit bat of Cuba and Hispaniola that occasionally reaches the Florida Keys as a vagrant, representing one of the few Caribbean bat species that enters the continental United States. It is recognized by its short, blunt muzzle and relatively small nose leaf. Cuban fig-eating bats roost in small groups in tree foliage.
